About Dr. Brandon Mastromartino

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Brandon Mastromartino is an Assistant Professor in the L. Robert Payne School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. He completed a M.S. and Ph.D. in Sport Management at the University of Georgia and a B.A. in Media & Communications from the University of Western Ontario. Brandon’s research focuses on the psychology of sports fans and developing consumer insights that can inform marketing strategy for sport organizations and corporate partners. Brandon has previously taught at the University of Georgia, the University of North Texas, and Southern Methodist University and has experience working in the sports industry for the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Octagon, a marketing and sponsorship agency. Brandon lives in San Diego with his partner Allie and their two dogs Miga and Penny.
