Bio
Amy Cowden, CMP, CED, is a graduate of San Diego State University and a veteran of the meetings and events industry with over 25 years of experience She earned her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation in 2005. Her experience includes being a corporate planner, as well as working as an event manager for third-party planning companies in both Dallas and San Diego.
She now shares her experience and knowledge as an Instructor and Program Manager with SDSU’s Payne School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. Amy has been an active member of the MPI San Diego chapter since 2009, including serving as Chapter President.
Amy also serves as the faculty advisor to the Meetings & Events Student Association (MESA).
