Senior Year Internships

During the senior year students will enroll in the HTM 498 course. Students will be employed by a hospitality organization relevant to their emphasis:

Hotel Operations

Restaurant Operations

Meeting & Events

Tribal Gaming

Students will be tasked with completing a special project while employed in a relevant position. Specific project based internships are also acceptable as long as the internship objectives are being met, the most important of which is to develop the problem solving ability of the student. If you are an employer and would like to hire a student to complete a special study or project which should be for a minimum of 300 hours, please contact Brian Blake at bblake@projects.sdsu.edu.

Students should meet directly with the SCPD director the semester prior to enrolling in the class to discuss options. Appointments can be made by calling the HTM office at 619-594-4964.
