WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
SDSU is shaping the future of tourism. But we cant do it alone.
We want real-time experts involved in the education process from the beginning.
So industry partnership is the high priority in the HTM program. In a
sense, were the matchmakers for industry and student, setting each
up for success, then watching them grow together. As a result, the tourism
industry has a hand in shaping the training of its future managers, and
students are given opportunities to establish relationships with some
of the most successful and prominent tourism industry leaders. Considering
over half of SDSU alumni remain in the San Diego region to work, the local
talent pool will grow exceptionally deep.
The HTM program will also respond to regional needs with lower recruitment
costs, increased employee retention, accessible continuing education for
industry employees, an exceptional pool of interns, expert industry research,
niche marketing seminars, and an overall awareness of the importance of
tourism in the community.
