Christina Jeffries brings a unique perspective to the L. Robert Payne School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. As a graduate of the Payne School, she is able to source her five years of industry experience to provide guidance to students, and connect them with jobs and internships in the industry. Upon graduation from the Payne School in 2008, Christina went to work in Human Resources for the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. The 1190 room hotel was in the final building stages and scheduled to open in December of that year. Through the process of opening the new hotel, Christina became skilled in sourcing and recruiting talent. In 2010, she was promoted to Employment Manager. In 2013, Christina was offered the unique opportunity to help grow and mold talent for the Payne School. In her role, she helps guide students through their academic careers by advising on course selection; encouraging students to step into leadership roles; and placing students into strategic jobs and internships. Bringing together her experience as a student and an industry professional, she is able to provide students with holistic advising to facilitate the overall development of each student.
